Women of Color Empowerment Brunch

The Women of Color Empowerment Brunch will provide a safe space for fellowship and discussion of issues that affect the lives and well-being of black women and women of color. We will explore topics and issues that provide tools that empowering women through self-love, self-care, education, leadership development, and direction for building a stronger movement for racial, gender and economic equity. Lastly, we will highlight the importance of the historical context of why our vote matters and why black and brown women are leading and setting historical accomplishments..
The brunch will feature Durham County Commissioner Brenda Howerton, North Carolina Supreme Court Justice Anita Earls, and former Black Panther Chair & CEO of Oakland & the World Enterprises Elaine Brown. The mistress of ceremonies will be Omisade Burney-Scott and a host of others
