SashTag party at The Scrap Exchange to get ready for March 5!
March 3 @ 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm EST
The ERA-NC Alliance and The Scrap Exchange are partnering up in support of equal rights for all. Accept the #SashTag Challenge and create a sash that represents why you want to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment. Wear your truth on your heart, stating your passion for a more equitable tomorrow. Then wear your sash with us on Tuesday, March 5, as legislators introduce the ERA Bill at the NC General Assembly. Be a part of history!
What to bring: Sashes! A few white sashes will be available only on a first-come, first-served basis. Also easily found at craft stores and online retailers. If you’re feeling resourceful, upcycle some fabric, such as on old T-shirt or a swath of satin you have hanging around and make your own. We hear folks are having great success with their old wedding dresses! 😉
What to do: Decorate your sash at the Scrap Exchange, which will kindly provide materials. Signage examples: #ALLforERA, #Families4ERA and #EqualRights4ALL. Get creative. We encourage you to use upcycled materials and the ERA-NC Alliance colors of Green, Blue and White!!
Finally: Post photos of yourself and your sash now and on March 5, saying, “I support equal rights for all. Ratify the ERA!” #SashTag and #ALLforERA.
Then, join us in Raleigh on March 5 if you can!
